Das Joomla Framework ist in der Version 1.0 verfügbar.
Man hat die Kernfunktionen aus dem CMS „Joomla“ in ein Framework ausgelagert, und lässt das CMS nun auf dem Framework basieren. Somit gibt es von nun an das „Joomla CMS“ und das „Joomla Framework“.
Die Struktur des Frameworks ist Modular und soll auch in Teilen genutzt werden können. Voraussetzung ist PHP 5.3.10 und die Lizenz ist GPL. (joomla, heise)
